[SA Govt]Members of the media are advised of the postponement of the flag hoisting ceremony which was planned to take place on the morning of 25 May 2013 at the Union Buildings to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Organisation of African Unity (OAU)/ African Union (AU). A new date will be communicated soon.
Govt Importing Meat Considered 'significant Risk'

[DA]In a reply to a DA parliamentary question, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Tina Joemat-Pettersson has revealed that various meat products - including water buffalo, donkey and horse meat - are being imported into South Africa from Brazil and India. This is despite meat from these countries being considered as posing a 'significant risk'.

This has involved some 4 800 transactions. It is estimated by the S.A. Institute of Race Relations that some 80% have “failed” as continuing commercial operations.
